YWCA Interim House – Detroit

Domestic violence — most commonly intimate partner domestic violence — is a pattern of behaviors used to gain or maintain power and control over a current or former partner. Abuse can take many forms, including physical, emotional, verbal, financial, psychological, spiritual, technological, and sexual abuse. No matter the form, the impact is real, and no one deserves to live in fear.
While experiences of abuse can vary, YWCA Interim House primarily serves survivors of intimate partner domestic violence, recognizing the complex and ongoing harm caused by abusive relationships. Women and children are among those most frequently impacted, and every survivor deserves safety, dignity, and support.
